The Day this Website Went Live
Ever felt like a moment is going to be the beginning of a new era? Well, I'm feeling it.

The beginning is a very good place to start, is it not? So, as I'm editing this first original blog post on this website, I'm thinking back to its beginning. This blog post began life in 2021 when I was first playing around with a template for my website. The website itself has been in the works since 2020 when I got the domain name and hosting account. But, not to worry, I'm sure plenty of good things have come from seeds that were slow to germinate. Since then, I've had quite a long and nasty relapse with the Eating Disorder. Now, in 2023, I'm about to press that 'Go live' button up the top right of my screen. How many times have I looked at it and not been ready!?
You see, I'm an ideas person. I have too many ideas than I could do in one lifetime. A short look around my house will reveal too many unfinished projects like a dress that I started making for a friend. And objects being kept because they could become something else, like the metal frame of a lantern that needs a pretty colourful covering. But, I guess, we finish the things that are most important to us. and coaching is one of those things for me.
My Anorexia recovery was decades in the making. And all through it I was driven by the belief that I would recover and then help others do the same. So, finally in 2015 I did the course and became a Certified Nutrition Coach. Though, just doing a course doesn't make one a coach. Over the years I've done a little group coaching and a smattering of individual coaching here and there. Until finally this year I've been able to commit to it, and really work to build it up. You know what I think it's taken from me to do it? - enough confidence to really persevere.
Well, I'll leave it at that for now. I've gotta pack for going to Melbourne in the morning!
